Tipsy — cocktail bar, Digbeth, Birmingham

From the pavement it has to read as a bar after dark — a sign, a threshold, people on the street. The neon sits on Digbeth as found. We did not wrap the building in a concept.

Inside, the counter is the architecture. Timber and glass, bottles as the wall, light dropped over the working edge. The exploded drawing is how we test a hospitality room before it is built. In design — no area or cost claimed.
