A Manchester terrace whose kitchen had to reach the garden. One room, three steps, glass the width of the rear.

The kitchen stopped short of the garden. The move is one room that can take a table, a sofa and the yard — full-height sliding glass, three steps, no heavy box on the back of the terrace.

The model tests the room as lived. The pair of views is the argument: keep the host house, change only the rear wall, make the garden usable. No area or cost is claimed here.
