The gable is the house. We kept it. A curving buff-brick wall meets the stone so the join is a piece, not a butt joint. Behind it, a lime-rendered room opens to the garden on a slide.
Concept work on how a new room can sit against Scottish sandstone without pretending to be old. Not a consented London householder job.
